Aliner3D was born out of a real need. We needed customized products quickly and cost-effectively—often in situations where there were no ready-made drawings. There was no ready-made solution on the market, but 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and 3D printing sparked an idea: could we implement the entire production chain ourselves?
We quickly realized that we weren't the only ones facing this challenge. The same problems were being grappled with in industry, manufacturing plants, and the defense industry. The right parts were not available, manufacturing was slow and expensive, and order batches were often unnecessarily large. We began searching for a Finnish company that could offer the entire solution chain – from idea to finished product.
We couldn't find one. So we decided to see if we could build it ourselves.
The research trip took us into the world of 3D scanning, reverse engineering, 3D design, and 3D printing. A trade fair trip to Germany reinforced our view: 3D technology enables shapes and structures that cannot be achieved using traditional methods. Production is fast, accurate, and environmentally friendly—and, most importantly, the exact quantity needed can be manufactured without weeks of waiting.
We were genuinely excited. We built a system that combines 3D scanning, reverse engineering, 3D design, AI-assisted optimization, and 3D printing into a single, seamless production process. This is how Aliner3D was born – a Finnish, intelligent, and customer-oriented 3D manufacturing service.
