Aliner3D – the story

Aliner Oy is a Finnish family business founded in 2012 with roots in IT and technology business consulting. In 2020, the business expanded into the import and sale of motor and car parts for motorsports through the irpnordic.com online store.

Two generations of expertise

The company is backed by a combination of strong business expertise and in-depth technical knowledge. Extensive experience in international trade, strategic development, and customer relationship management is combined with industrial process management and practical expertise in production technology. This complementary expertise creates a solid foundation for Aliner Oy's growth and renewal.

Where did Aliner3D originate?

The same challenges were repeatedly encountered in industry and the spare parts market: the right parts were not available, manufacturing took too long, costs were high, and order quantities exceeded actual needs. This raised the question: how could parts be manufactured faster, more cost-effectively, and in exactly the right quantities, tailored to customer needs?

At the same time, production facilities and the defense industry were discussing exactly the same problems. We began searching for a Finnish company that could offer a solution for the entire chain: designing and manufacturing customized products based on an idea or an old part – quickly, cost-effectively, and with high quality.

Our research trip took us to the world of 3D scanning, reverse engineering, 3D design, and 3D printing. A trade fair trip to Germany sparked the final spark: 3D technology enables structures and shapes in product manufacturing that cannot be achieved with traditional manufacturing methods. Production is fast, ecological, and precise—without large minimum quantities or long waiting times.

We were excited about this, so we decided to establish Aliner3D, which combines 3D scanning, reverse modeling, 3D design, AI-assisted optimization, and printing into a single seamless AI-optimized production process. Customers get exactly the product they need – when they need it.

At the beginning of 2025, Aliner Oy received co-financing from the Ely Centre and the European Union for a development project aimed at building a smart, domestic 3D production process. Aliner3D is the company's official auxiliary name and represents a new step in agile local production in the industry.
